Vendor - License Plate Recognition Technology & Best Practices

Learn about the diverse uses of License Plate Recognition (LPR) technology and how to utilize the tool in real world scenarios. Led by former law enforcement members, this course will demonstrate how to integrate a cloud-based commercial LPR data platform into the existing traditional law enforcement deployment LPR model.

• Week 1: Introduction, walk-through, take-home work
• Week 2: Week 1 overview – exam, legal aspects, Best Practices, advanced tools walk-through, take-home work
• Week 3: Week 2 overview – exam, hot lists, hot list advanced tools walk-through, take-home work
• Week 4: Week 3 overview – exam, LPR databases, investigative resources, documenting, additional tools/functions, full case walk-through, final LPR exam.

All take-home work should be submitted to the instructor within a week of assignment or before the following class for credit.
This four part series will be taught in 2 hour blocks every Thursday beginning April 8th to April 29th from 10AM PST – 12PM PST. This is an IADLEST certified course and a CA POST certified course for CA Law Enforcement attendees. You must attend all four courses to receive course credit. We do understand that there may be a time when you are unable to attend a class; therefore, we are allowing attendees the ability to watch a recording of the session missed in order to meet guidelines for course credits. Please keep in mind that you are only able to miss ONE live class/watch ONE recording to receive IADLEST/CA POST course credit, so please plan accordingly.
