Membership in IECIAA is open to individuals who are interested in the progress and enhancement in the field of crime analysis. The Inland Empire Crime and Intelligence Analysts Association is comprised of five types of members: ACTIVE MEMBER Law enforcement professionals involved or interested in the area of crime and intelligence analysis. Active members may vote, hold office, and are entitled to all rights, activities, and privileges of the association. In addition, those who are retired law enforcement professionals or individuals no longer employed with a law enforcement agency, but left the agency in good standing. ASSOCIATE/AGENCY MEMBER Any individual not directly associated with a law enforcement agency, but who has an interest in crime and intelligence analysis and whose participation can enhance the overall goals of the organization. Associate members are non-voting members and shall not hold elective office. They are entitled to all other rights and privileges of the association. CORPORATE MEMBER Any company or corporation having an interest in enhancing the overall goals of crime and intelligence analysis through sponsorship of the association. Corporate members are non-voting members and shall not hold elective office. Corporate members shall only be allowed to attend the association business section of the bi-monthly meetings, no corporate members shall be allowed to attend meetings that involve sensitive and restricted law enforcement materials. STUDENT MEMBER Any individual with an interest in learning about crime and intelligence analysis and who is currently enrolled in the Crime and Intelligence Certification Program or who is enrolled as a student at any college or university. Any student or intern who is presently enrolled or has completed the Crime and Intelligence Certification Program and has gone through and passed a background check with a law enforcement agency. NON-MEMBER A fee of $10.00 will be requested from any person who is a non-member when the association has a paid presenter speaking for the association.
